Maa Meldi Trading Company

We are Maa Meldi Trading Company at the New Bus Stand in the New Sabji Mandi, shop number 3. It's a busy place. Every morning we get here before the sun even starts thinking about coming up. There’s a lot of noise with the buses pulling in and out right next door. You can smell the diesel and the fresh vegetables all mixed together. We spend most of our time moving crates around and talking to the farmers who bring their produce in. Sometimes the crates are heavy and our backs hurt by the afternoon, but that is just how the work goes. We have a small desk where we keep the ledger books. It’s a bit messy with tea stains and old receipts, but we know where everything is. People stop by to chat or check the prices for the day. There isn't much to say about us besides we work hard and try to stay organized in the middle of all the mandi chaos. The floor is usually covered in some dirt from the boots coming in and out, but we sweep it when we get a chance. It’s just me and a couple of helpers here most days. We don't have fancy office chairs or anything like that. Just some old stools and the smell of the market. We have been in this spot for a while now and everyone around here knows where shop number 3 is located near the bus stand. It is just a regular life for us traders.
