Out here in Bali, things move at their own pace. Kisaan Agro Dal Mil is where we spend most of our time, dealing with pulses and grains that come in from the nearby fields. It is dusty work, and the machines make a fair bit of noise, but it’s what we do. We don't have a fancy office or a marketing team. Most of our day is spent checking the quality of the dal or making sure the bags are packed right for the local markets. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, or the power goes out, but we just get back to it when we can. My family has been around this area for a long time, and we know most of the farmers who bring their harvest to us. It’s honest work. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide decent grains to the people in and around Bali. The shed is old but it holds up well enough. We keep the floors swept as much as you can in a place like this. When you walk in, you can smell the raw earth and the lentils. It’s a practical business. We don't use big words or make big promises. If you need dal, we probably have some ready. That’s about all there is to it. We keep things simple and stay busy with the work at hand.
