Desuri Farmer Producer Company Limited is located near the Can Talab in Ganorao, Desuri. Ghisu Lal is the one who looks after things here. We are a group of farmers from around the Desuri area. We put this company together so we could have a bit more say in how our produce is sold. It’s better than everyone doing their own thing and getting nowhere. We meet up near the talab to discuss our plans. It’s not a formal boardroom, just a place where we can all sit and talk. We don't have a lot of money for marketing or fancy offices. We just use what we have. Most of our time is spent in the fields or checking on the crops. The village life is slow but the work is hard. We deal with the usual problems like pests and water shortages. It’s just how it is. We try to help each other out with seeds or tools when someone is short. We aren't experts in business, just people who know how to grow things. If you need us, you can find us in Ganorao. Most people can point you to Ghisu Lal’s place or the talab. We’ve been at this for a while and we plan to keep going as long as the land allows us. It's just us, working together and trying to make ends meet.
