Vardhini Granites

If you are in Chimakurti, you’ll find us right near the bus stop. We are situated close to Jubilee Granites. This whole area is known for stone, so there are a lot of us doing similar work along this road. At Vardhini Granites, we keep things very basic. The yard is open to the sky, and we have the slabs arranged so the sun hits them directly. This is the best way to see the real color of the granite before you buy it. It gets very hot out here during the day, so we usually have a tea break under the shade of the small tin roof we put up near the entrance. I’m usually the one handling the measuring tape and writing down the dimensions for customers in my notebook. We don't use computers much; most of our notes and orders are kept in big paper registers. The ground is uneven and very dusty, so you should wear sturdy shoes if you come to visit the yard. We get a lot of trucks passing by the bus stop, so it’s never really quiet around here. We don't have a mission statement or any of that corporate stuff. We just buy stone and sell stone to whoever needs it. Most of our customers are locals or people who have been told about us by their friends. It’s a simple life. We close up when the sun goes down and head home. It’s not a polished showroom.
