Lakshmi Granites

We have been running Lakshmi Granites for a good while now at our spot in Somavarappadu. The address is 45/6/35, and if you are looking for us, we are right near the Ramalayam temple. You can usually hear the bells from the temple when we are out in the yard working on the stone slabs. It is a noisy job, especially when the cutting machines are going or when the trucks are backing in to drop off a new load of granite. Most of our days are spent just moving pieces around so people can see the patterns in the stone. Granite is heavy stuff, so we spend a lot of time on our feet. The yard gets quite hot in the afternoons, but we just keep at it. Sometimes people come in just to ask directions because of the temple nearby, but mostly they come to see what kind of stone we have in stock. We keep different colors and sizes piled up, and it changes depending on what we can get from the suppliers. We don't have any big sales pitches or fancy offices. It is just a work site where we handle the stone and try to keep things organized. Somavarappadu is a decent place to be based, and we have gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. The work is hard on the hands and the clothes, but it’s what we know. We just stay busy with the day-to-day tasks and let the stone speak for itself when people come by.
