Sri Nagalakshmi Granites

We’ve been at Survey Number 6 on the Kurnool - Ongole Main Rd for quite a while now. Chimakurthy is a busy place for stone work, and we are right in the middle of it. Sri Nagalakshmi Granites is mostly just a few of us working with the slabs every day. It gets dusty and loud around here, but that is how it goes. People come by the shop looking for different cuts of granite. Sometimes we have exactly what they need on the yard, other times we have to wait for the next load. We don't have a big office or anything fancy like that. There is just a desk and the stone. We spend most of the day moving pieces around and making sure things are cut right. It's hard work, especially when the sun is out on the main road. The traffic passes by constantly, but we just keep our heads down and handle the granite. If you come by, you'll see us there in our work clothes. We aren't talkers, really. We just show the stone and tell you the price. The yard is usually full of blocks and finished pieces waiting to be picked up. It isn't a pretty place, but the granite is real. We’ve stayed here because people know where to find us. It's simple.
