Sri Lakshimi Narashima Granite

Sri Lakshimi Narashima Granite is located at 54-2-16 on Kurnool Road, right in the Samatha Nagar area. It is basically a big open space where we keep the granite slabs. Being on the main road means we get a lot of dust from the passing trucks, so we are constantly splashing water on the stones to show people their real color. It is a physical job, and by the end of the day, our backs usually feel it. We have a small office area where we sit down to do the paperwork, but mostly we are outside in the yard. The sun can be quite brutal on Kurnool Road, so we have some shade set up for when it gets too hot to stand out there. Local people from Samatha Nagar come by when they are building their new homes. We don’t do any big advertising, people just see our sign and the rows of granite from the street. We’ve got different types of stone, some from nearby and some from further away. It’s not a fancy place, just a lot of rock and a few guys working hard to make a living. We have been here for a good while and have seen many houses go up in the neighborhood. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, handling one slab at a time.
