Sri Vasavi Granites

We are located on Sidda Vari Street in Chimakurty. This place is pretty well known for stone, and we’ve been here for a while now. Dealing with granite is mostly about heavy lifting and making sure the cuts are somewhat right. It gets really dusty around here, especially when the wind picks up in Pulikonda, but that is just part of the job. Most days start early because we have to load the trucks before the heat gets too bad. People come by asking for different colors, and we just show them what is sitting in the yard. There is no big office here, just the slabs and the tools we use every day. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, which is annoying but happens. We have a few guys who have been with us for years. They know how to handle the slabs without cracking them, which is harder than it looks. It isn't fancy work. You spend a lot of time on your feet, talking to drivers and checking the sizes. If you are looking for the shop, it’s right there on the street, you can’t really miss the stacks of stone outside. We just try to get the orders moved out on time so the yard doesn't get too crowded. It is a loud business with the cutting machines going, but we are used to it by now.
