Sri Vinayaka Granites & Rocks

You can find us over in Sujatha Nagar, specifically on the 5th Lane at Plot No.7-231. It’s a bit of a residential area that has grown up around some of these businesses. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a while now. Sri Vinayaka Granites & Rocks isn't some massive corporation; it’s more of a local operation where we know the neighbors. We have rocks and granite slabs lined up along the edges of our space. Sometimes children from the lane come by and look at the different colors in the stone. We have to tell them to stay back for safety, of course. The work involves a lot of lifting and measuring. We aren't always the fastest, but we try to be careful with what we do. The 5th lane can be a bit tight for the big trucks, so we have to coordinate things carefully when a delivery comes in. It’s a lot of shouting and waving arms to get the trucks parked right. Me and the staff just handle things as they come. Some days are packed with people looking for flooring, and other days we just spend time organizing the yard. It's not a glamorous job, and our clothes usually have stone grit on them by the end of the shift. But we like being part of Sujatha Nagar. It feels like home to us, and the stone business is just what we do every single day to get by.
