Sri Hari Priya Granites

We are located in the A P I I C Growth Center in Gundlapalli, specifically across plots 228, 229, and 230. It is a big area out here in Maddipadu, and Sri Hari Priya Granites takes up a good amount of space. Working in a growth center means there is always construction and heavy machinery moving around. The noise of the polishers is something you just get used to after a week. My day starts around eight when the workers arrive and we start looking at the blocks that came in from the quarry. The heat in Andhra can be really tough, so we try to do the heaviest lifting before noon. We have hundreds of slabs lined up, and it takes a lot of walking just to show a customer everything we have in stock. It is a very dusty environment and my boots are always white by the end of the shift. We don't have a fancy front desk; I usually just stand in the yard and talk to people. Most of our orders are for big projects, but we still help out the locals who just need a few slabs for their porch. It’s a lot of physical work and the days are long, but there is something nice about seeing the raw stone turned into something smooth and shiny. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready for the trucks.
