Slp Granites

Our place, Slp Granites, is at Survey No.102. We are located right near the bus stop in the IDA area. It is a very practical location for us because the bus stop makes it easy for people to explain where we are. Being in the IDA means there are a lot of other industrial activities going on nearby, so it is never really quiet. There is always the sound of machines or trucks moving somewhere. At Survey No.102, we have our slabs and stones laid out. It is heavy, dusty work and our hands are usually a bit rough from handling the granite all day. We don't have a fancy office or any plush chairs. We mostly just have the yard and the space where we work. When the buses pull up nearby, we see the commuters looking over at the stone stacks. Sometimes the dust from the road gets on everything, so we are constantly cleaning off the granite to see the colors properly. It is a simple life here at the IDA. We get in early, start the machines, and work until the sun goes down. Most of our neighbors are doing similar kinds of work, so we all understand the grind. We don't put on any acts; we are just here at the survey number doing what we know how to do. It is hard work, but it is what we do to keep things moving forward.
