Himajasirsai Granites Formerly Known As Apple Granites

We used to be called Apple Granites, but now the name is Himajasirsai Granites. People in Nirmal Nagar still get confused sometimes and use the old name when they stop by. We are located on Anjaiah Road, which stays pretty busy during the day. The transition between names didn't change much about how we actually work. We still have the same saws and the same yard full of stone blocks. Working with granite is a heavy business, and my back feels it every evening when I go home. We get all kinds of stone coming in, and each one cuts a little differently. Some are hard and take forever, while others go through the blade much faster. The weather on Anjaiah Road can be tough, especially when it pours and we have to cover everything up quickly. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning, just a small desk and a lot of stone. My brother helps out with the loading, and we have a couple of local guys who handle the polishing. It’s a small operation, really. We just try to keep the quality of the slabs decent so nobody complains later. It’s just us doing what we know, day in and day out, in this corner of Nirmal Nagar. We don't spend money on big signs, just the work we do here with the stone.
