Harshni Stones

Harshni Stones is located right on the Trunk Road, specifically at 6-65-652 in the Bandla Metla area. Our entrance is on Gadiyaram Vari Veedhi, which is usually quite busy with people and traffic moving through. Working with stones means you’re always dealing with something heavy. We have various types of slabs leaning against the walls and stacked in the back. The noise from the Trunk Road is constant, so you have to raise your voice to be heard sometimes. We spend a lot of time moving pieces around so customers can see the patterns in the stone. It’s not easy work, especially when the humidity is high. My clothes are always stained with damp stone dust and sweat. We have a small area where we sit and talk to people, but it’s mostly just a couple of plastic chairs and a table that’s seen better days. The location in Bandla Metla is good for getting things delivered, though the traffic on Gadiyaram Vari Veedhi can be a real pain during the peak hours. We don't have a website or any of that, just this yard and the stones we’ve got on hand. Sometimes the work is slow and we just sit and watch the cars go by. Other times, it’s three trucks at once and everyone is rushing. It’s just the way the stone business goes for us here in the neighborhood, and we keep it simple.
