Classic Galaxy Granites

Being near Nsp Colony in Cheema Kurthy means we are right in the middle of everything. Prakasam District is famous for this kind of work, and we are just one part of it. Classic Galaxy Granites is situated where the ground is almost always covered in a fine layer of stone dust. It gets into your clothes and your hair, but you get used to it after the first week. We deal mostly with the black granite that this area is known for. The sun in Cheema Kurthy can be brutal, making the dark stone so hot you can't touch it without gloves. We don't have a big corporate structure here. It’s usually just a couple of us in the small shack we use as an office, and the rest of the crew out by the saws. We spend the morning loading up the trucks that head out to the city. The afternoons are for unloading the new blocks coming in from the quarries. It’s a cycle that doesn't change much. We don't use any flowery language or make big promises. We just show people the slabs we have and let the stone speak for itself. Most of our customers are builders who have been coming to us for years. They know we’re near the Nsp Colony and they know how we work. It’s not a complicated life, just a lot of heavy lifting and keeping the machines running.
