Prakritik Lighting & Urja Systems

Our spot is over at F-274 in the Flatted Factories Complex in Okhla. It’s a mouthful to say, but that’s where Prakritik Lighting & Urja Systems is based. Okhla is always crowded, and finding parking near our block is a nightmare most days. But we like being here. There’s a lot of energy in this industrial estate. We work on lighting and energy systems, mostly solar stuff and LEDs. It’s dusty work sometimes. The office part is just a small corner partitioned off from where we keep the stock. We have a lot of stuff piled up right now because we just got a big shipment in. It’s just a few of us running the show. We don’t wear suits or have big meetings. Usually, we just talk over what needs to be done while we're testing some new bulbs. The air conditioning in the unit struggles in the summer, but we make do with a couple of extra fans. We’ve been here long enough that the postman knows us by name. We don’t have a fancy website with big promises. People just know if they need lighting gear, they can come to F-274 and we’ll see what we can find for them. It’s a simple way to run a business and it works for us. We spend a lot of time organizing boxes and making sure the wires are sorted. It’s not fancy, but it is what it is and we enjoy the work. We just keep things moving.
