Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (Ireda) is located over at August Kranti Bhawan, specifically on the 3rd floor. Bhikaiji Cama Place is one of those spots in the city that never really stays quiet. There is a lot of movement all day long. Getting up to the third floor is easy enough if the elevators are behaving themselves, which they usually do. Our office isn't anything like those high-tech spaces you see in movies; it’s more of a practical setup with plenty of files and people on phones. It can feel a bit crowded when everyone is in at once, especially during the middle of the week. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks. The view from the windows is mostly just other buildings and the busy streets below. Lunchtime is when most of us head down to find something to eat at the local stalls nearby. There’s a decent variety if you don’t mind a bit of a walk. We spend a lot of time looking at numbers and reports. It’s not the most glamorous job in the world, but it’s what we do. The office has that specific smell of old paper and coffee that you find in most long-standing places. We’ve been here for a good bit now and the daily routine has become second nature to all of us.
