You can find Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. at BHEL House, which is the registered office located right near Siri Fort. It’s a pretty well-known landmark in this part of Delhi. The building itself has been around for quite some time, and it feels like it. There’s a certain weight to the place, with its high ceilings and long hallways. Working here means you’re right in the middle of a lot of history and activity. The area outside is actually quite nice, especially compared to some of the more cramped parts of the city. We have some green patches around which is a relief when you need a five-minute break from the screens. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of meetings. It’s a big building, so you end up doing a fair bit of walking just to talk to someone in a different department. We have a canteen that serves the usual stuff, and it’s usually where you find out what’s actually going on. The pace here is steady. We aren't rushing around like chickens with our heads cut off, but there is always a list of things that need to be finished. It’s a formal place in some ways, but the people are friendly enough once you get to know them. We just keep the wheels turning day after day.
