Solar Energy Society Of India

You can find us on the second floor of the Central Board of Irrigation and Power building. It is located on Malcha Marg in Hanakyapuri. That part of Delhi is quite green and generally more peaceful than the rest of the city. We spend our days at the Solar Energy Society of India focusing on, well, solar energy matters. The office has a bit of an older feel to it, which isn't a bad thing. There are tall windows and a lot of bookshelves filled with old reports and journals. We share the building with other groups, so you see different people in the hallways. My work involves a lot of reading and sometimes helping organize meetings or workshops. We don't have a lot of modern, flashy furniture. It’s more about the practical side of things—desks, chairs, and good lighting. Hanakyapuri is a nice area to walk around during a lunch break if it isn't too hot outside. The building itself is sturdy and quiet. We aren't a high-pressure corporate shop; it’s more about steady progress and keeping the society running. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the latest solar trends. It’s a very grounded atmosphere. We've been here for a long time, and the routine is well-established. It’s a good place to work if you like a bit of history and a calm environment while dealing with modern energy topics.
