About Good Governance India Foundation – Energy in New Delhi
The office for Good Governance India Foundation is tucked away at 216A/1 Gautam Nagar, right near Gulmohar Park in New Delhi. It’s more of a residential building that we use for our work, so it doesn't feel like a cold corporate space at all. It feels more like a home, honestly. We spend our time researching and talking about how things are run in the country. It’s not flashy work, mostly reading through documents, writing up notes, and having long discussions over tea in the small common area. The street outside is usually lined with parked cars, and it can be a bit of a squeeze to get through, but it’s a nice, leafy part of town. We have a small group of people who are really into policy and social stuff. We don't have a big sign out front or anything. Most people who come here are looking for a quiet place to work on projects that might actually help someone. Sometimes the neighborhood kids are playing cricket nearby, and we hear them through the windows while we’re working. We’ve been at this address for a while and have built up a good library of resources in the back rooms. It’s a practical setup for the kind of thinking and writing we do. We aren't trying to change the world overnight, just looking at things clearly from our little corner in Gautam Nagar.
