We are the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Management Center, which is part of the Department of Power under the GNCTD. Our office is located on the 8th Level, B Wing of the Delhi Secretariat over at IP Estate. Being in the Secretariat means there’s a lot of security and a lot of stairs and elevators to deal with every day. It’s a busy government building, so there are always people rushing around the hallways. Our floor is usually filled with files, computers, and people talking about energy projects. It’s not a very colorful place, just lots of grey desks and standard office chairs. We spend our time looking at data and trying to figure out things related to power and renewables. Since we are in the B Wing, we have a bit of a view, but mostly we are just looking at our screens. It’s a lot of administrative work and meetings that sometimes go on too long. We don’t have any flashy brochures or a high-end coffee machine. It’s just a government office where we try to get through the daily tasks. The IP Estate area is always humming with activity. We are just one part of the big machine here at the Secretariat, doing our bit for the power department. It’s steady work and we just keep at it, handling the paperwork as it comes.
