Kalingia Illumination Pvt Ltd is based at A-2 in the DSIDC Complex on GT Road. We are right in the middle of the Jhilmil Indl Area, which is a place that never really sleeps. There are always trucks moving and people working in the different units around us. Our workshop is where we handle all the lighting equipment. It is a practical space with workbenches and plenty of tools lying around. We are not a giant corporation with people in suits. Most of us are usually wearing work clothes and getting our hands a bit dirty. The building itself is quite old and has that industrial feel to it. We have stayed in this spot for a long time because it is easy for transport and near the main road. Sometimes the power goes out in the area, and we just have to wait it out like everyone else. We do not have a receptionist sitting at a front desk. Usually, if someone comes to the door, whoever is closest will go and see what they need. It is an honest way to run a business. We keep a lot of glass and metal parts in stock for the lights we put together. It can get a bit cluttered when a big shipment arrives, but we manage to find what we need. We just show up every morning, do the work, and try to make sure everything we send out is in good shape.
