Okhla Industrial Estate is one of those places that always feels like it is under some kind of construction. Our office is situated in Phase III, at number 202 on the third floor. It is a large industrial-style building that houses many different types of companies. We work on various energy projects, specifically focusing on how things might be powered in the years ahead. It sounds a lot more complicated than it actually feels when you are sitting at your desk every day. Most of our time is occupied by looking at project plans and checking through long spreadsheets. The climb to the third floor is a bit much if the lift isn't working, which happens more often than we would like. Inside the office, it is just a standard workspace with desks, chairs, and quite a few empty coffee cups. We don't bother with fancy art on the walls, just some maps and a calendar to track our deadlines. The view from our windows is mostly just other warehouse roofs and trucks moving around the estate. It gets very dusty in this part of Delhi, so we have to keep everything shut most of the time to keep the air clean. We are not a massive team here, so the office stays fairly quiet unless we are having a group meeting. It’s just a normal place where we try to stay on top of the energy business and get the work finished.
