D.C.M. Shriram Industry Ltd. has an office in the Akash Deep Building, which is on Khamba Road in Connaught Place, New Delhi. It’s number 26, on one of those floors that has a nice view of the city if you look out the right window. Being in CP means we’re right in the middle of everything. It’s a historic area, and you can feel that when you walk around. Our work is quite varied because it’s an industry-focused company. We deal with a lot of different sectors. The office is usually humming with the sound of computers and people talking on phones. We aren't here to give you a polished sales pitch. We’re just a group of employees trying to manage the day’s logistics and paperwork. The traffic in New Delhi is always a topic of conversation in the morning. We’ve been here at 12 Khamba Road for quite some time. It’s a busy life, but we enjoy the energy of being in the heart of the capital. We don't use big words to describe what we do; we just handle the industrial side of things. Sometimes the elevators in these older buildings take forever, but that's just part of the charm.
