Our spot is at 222 Okhla Industrial Estate. If you know Okhla, you know it’s just row after row of factories and workshops. C&S Electric has been a fixture here for a long time. We handle a lot of the heavy-duty electrical gear that goes into big buildings or factories. It’s a lot of metal, switches, and complicated wiring. The building isn’t new, but it’s sturdy and fits everything we need. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of forklifts and people calling out over the hum of the machines. We have a lot of engineers and technicians walking around in blue shirts, usually looking at blueprints or testing out a new panel. It’s a busy environment. We don’t spend much time making things look pretty for photos. We’re more worried about whether the breakers are tripping when they should or if the busbars are aligned. It’s a lot of technical stuff that most people don’t think about until the power goes out. Being in Okhla means we are right in the middle of everything, which helps with getting parts in and out. The roads are always a bit torn up and the tea stalls nearby are always full, which is just how life is in an industrial estate. We just keep our heads down and focus on the electrical components we’ve been making for years. It’s what we know how to do. No more, no less.
