Bureau Of Energy Efficiency

Our office is on the first floor of the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, right near India Gate. It is a pretty famous spot, but our daily work is a bit more grounded than the stadium might suggest. At the Bureau Of Energy Efficiency, we spend our time looking at how energy is used and trying to find ways to be a bit more sensible about it. It is a government setup, so there is a lot of process and many forms to fill out. We are not a private company looking to make a quick buck. Our staff consists of people who have been studying this stuff for years. The office is full of reports and charts about power consumption. It is a busy place with people coming in and out for meetings all the time. Being near India Gate means there is always something happening outside, but inside we just focus on the data. We do not use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just look at the numbers and see where changes can be made. It is a lot of desk work and sitting in meetings. We try to keep things organized, but with so much going on, the desks often end up buried under papers. We have been in this location for a while now and it serves us well. It is a serious place but the people are friendly enough.
