NIGHT LIGHT

We are located on Bhawali Road in Bhimtal, which is up in the Nainital hills. It’s a beautiful area, but the weather can be a bit unpredictable. We are quite close to the Gorakhpur chauraha, so people find us easily when they are driving through the mountains. The air is much fresher up here than in the plains, though it gets very cold in the winter months. We have a small place that we try to keep warm for anyone stopping by. Night Light is just a name we liked because the road gets very dark after sunset and our place stands out with its small bulbs. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who handle everything from cooking to cleaning. The road outside can get busy with tourists during the summer, but mostly it’s local people and taxi drivers. We serve simple food that fills you up. Sometimes the electricity goes out when there’s a storm, which happens a lot in the hills, but we keep some candles and lanterns ready. The wooden tables have a few scratches on them from years of use. We don’t mind. It’s a place to rest your feet and have something hot. The view of the trees is nice if you sit by the window. We just keep things running day to day without any major fuss or complications. It’s a quiet life here compared to the city. We have a regular routine that keeps us grounded.
