Nabbu Da Dhaba

Our dhaba is right on the Almora Road in Garampani. If you’re driving through the hills near Nainital, you’ve probably passed us. It’s a simple roadside spot where travelers stop to stretch their legs and get something hot to eat. The air up here is always a bit cooler, which makes the steam from the kitchen look even thicker. We don’t have a big menu. We just cook what’s fresh and what people usually want when they’ve been on the road for hours. Nabbu Da Dhaba isn't about luxury or fancy service. It’s about a wooden bench, a hot plate of food, and maybe a glass of tea. We see a lot of truck drivers and families on vacation. Some people stop just to ask for directions, and that’s fine too. We’ve been here for years, watching the cars go by and the seasons change in the mountains. The road can get a bit tricky during the monsoon, but we stay open as long as we can. It’s a family-run place, so you’ll usually see one of us behind the counter or tending to the stove. We like the pace of life here in Garampani. It’s busy when the tourists are around but quiet at night. We just keep doing what we do, serving simple meals to whoever happens to pull over at our door for a rest.
