The Soul Food Company

You can find The Soul Food Company over in Lower Parel West. We’re tucked away in Unit No.3, A-2 of the Industrial Estate on Ganpatrao Kadem Marg. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren’t used to it. This area used to be all mills, and now it’s full of small businesses like ours. We chose this spot because it’s central, even if the traffic on Ganpatrao Kadem Marg is a nightmare during rush hour. Our space isn't huge, but we’ve made it work for what we need. We spend most of our time dealing with ingredients and recipes. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s how cooking goes. We aren't a big corporate kitchen with white floors. It’s a real working space where things happen fast. We started this because we liked the idea of making food that feels a bit more personal. It’s just a few of us in the unit, usually busy with orders or cleaning up. We don’t have a fancy sign or a big marketing budget. Most people find out about us just by word of mouth or seeing our delivery vans around the city. Lower Parel is a loud, busy place, but once you step inside our unit, it’s all about the food. We’ve had our share of struggles getting things set up, but we’re still here, doing our thing every day. It’s just honest work for us, and we try to keep our recipes simple. We often stay late getting things ready for the morning.
