Anand Catering Services

Being right across from Laxmi Mangal Karyalaya in Dhantoli keeps us on our toes. We are located in Govastal Layout. Since there's a big hall right there, we see a lot of action. Anand Catering Services is mostly just us working in the back to get the trays ready. We started doing this because we enjoyed the chaos of big events. There’s something about the smell of large pots of dal and rice cooking early in the morning that feels right. We don't use any fancy machines, mostly just traditional ways of preparing things. Dhantoli is a good place for us. It's central and people know the landmark of the Karyalaya. Sometimes we are up until 3 am finishing a job and then back at it by 7 am. That’s just how the catering life is. We don't have a sales team. We just talk to the families ourselves. They tell us what they want and we see if we can do it. Sometimes it's a small puja at home, other times it's a big wedding across the street. We’ve had the same couple of cooks for years now. They know exactly how I want things done. It isn't always perfect, but we put a lot of effort into every meal. We stay busy enough without needing to put ads in the paper. We just keep our heads down and cook. When the wedding season starts, we barely have time to sleep, but that is when we are busy. We wouldn't have it any other way.
