Bapats Swagat Caterer

We've set up shop on Abhyankar Road, right across from Dhantoli Park. It's a nice spot because we can see the trees and people walking in the park when we take a minute to breathe. Bapats Swagat Caterer has been around for quite a few years now. We specialize in the kind of food we grew up eating in our own homes. Our kitchen isn't very large, but we make it work with good organization. Most of our regulars are families from around Dhantoli who have known our family for a long time. We don't do anything too fancy or modern because that’s not what people ask us for. We just stick to the traditional recipes that have worked for years. My father started this and now I handle the day-to-day things with a few helpers who are like family. We spend a lot of time talking to clients about what they want for their functions. Sometimes we sit out front and just watch the traffic on Abhyankar Road. It’s a busy street but we've found our place here. We don't have a website or do any big promotions in the paper. Usually, someone eats our food at a wedding and then calls us for their own daughter’s event. That's how we prefer it. It’s more personal that way. We just try to make sure everything is fresh and ready when people need it. It’s a lot of work and long hours, but it’s what we know how to do. We take it one day at a time.
