Zoom

Zoom is our small workplace over at Plot No 66/F in Abdullah Estate. If you know Khar West at all, you know how crowded the lanes can get around here. We are quite close to the Telephone Exchange, which is the main landmark we tell everyone to look for when they’re trying to find us. The building is an old one, and the estate has that typical busy feel with people moving boxes and vans coming in and out. Inside our space, things are a bit cramped because we have quite a lot of equipment and files scattered around. We don't really have a reception area, so when people walk in, they usually just see us working at our desks. There is a small tea stall just outside where we get our cutting chai every morning. It helps us deal with the humidity and the constant phone calls. We deal with all sorts of local people every day, mostly regulars who have been coming to this part of Khar for years. The parking situation is always a bit of a headache, so we usually tell people to come on a scooter if they can. We keep the doors open most of the time to get a bit of a breeze. It's nothing special to look at, just a practical place where we get our daily work done and try to stay organized among all the paper and noise.
