Gallerie Leela

You can find Gallerie Leela in Andheri East, right at the Leela Kempinski on Sahar Road. Being so close to the airport means we see a lot of people passing through. This isn't a huge, intimidating art gallery where you have to whisper. It’s just a space where we show different pieces of art. We’ve been here for a while, and the vibe is usually pretty calm. People come in to look around while they are waiting for a flight or staying at the hotel. We don't use a lot of complicated art talk to explain things. The art is just there for people to see and think about. Some days are very quiet, and it’s just us and the paintings. Other days, we have more visitors than usual. We don't have a big corporate strategy for the gallery. We just pick things we think are interesting and put them on the walls. Sahar Road is always moving, but inside the gallery, things stay still. It’s a nice contrast to the noise outside. We don't do big fancy openings every week. We just keep the doors open and let people wander in. It’s a simple setup in a busy part of Andheri. If you happen to be near the hotel, you can walk in and take a look. We’re just here doing our thing.
