B C A Galleries is tucked inside the Prabhadevi Unit Industrial Estate at number 107. Being in an industrial estate means things are a bit different compared to a regular street shop. It is a bit more functional and plain. We have been at unit 107 for a while now. Prabhadevi is a busy area, but once you get inside the estate, it’s a bit more contained. We deal with various gallery works and art pieces. The space is large enough for what we need to do. We don't have big signs or flashing lights outside. People who need to find B C A Galleries usually know where we are or they ask around the industrial estate. It’s a practical way of working. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the pieces and making sure everything is where it should be. The neighbors in the other units are mostly working on different things, but everyone knows each other. It’s a bit of a community within the estate. We don't go for anything polished or corporate here. It’s a working space first and foremost. We just focus on the items we have and the people who come to see them. Prabhadevi is a central spot, so it works well for us. We have seen many businesses come and go in the estate, but B C A Galleries has stayed put at 107. We just keep doing our work every day without much fuss or needing to explain ourselves to everyone who passes.
