Kaladhar Art Gallery

Our gallery is located over at Matunga 1st Main Road, right in the RPC Layout, 2nd Stage. It is unit number 22. We’ve been in this space for a while now. It’s mostly just white walls and some frames. I’ve always liked how quiet it gets in here compared to the noise out on the main road. We don't really do those big, fancy openings with wine and all that. It’s more of a place where local artists bring their work when they have something new to show. Some of the paintings have been sitting in the back for months because we haven't found the right spot for them yet. The light comes in through the front window in the afternoon and makes everything look a bit different. I spend a lot of time just moving things around or dusting the glass. People come in just to escape the sun for a bit sometimes. We don't mind. It's nice to have company. The floorboards creak a little near the entrance, but we haven't gotten around to fixing that. It adds a bit of character, I think. We don't have a big staff, just me and occasionally a helper if we have a lot of heavy crates moving in. It’s a simple life, surrounded by colors and sketches. If you're walking through the layout, you'll see our sign. It's nothing special, but we like it here and we hope the art stays interesting for the people who visit.
