So, Ymc Organ Donation And Transplant Foundation is based out of Dadar (East), which is always a bit of a scramble with the traffic and people. Our spot is up on the 16th floor, unit 1602 to be exact, inside the Kesar Polaris building. It’s on 5th Lane in the Hindu Colony area. If you’ve ever walked around there, you know it’s got a lot of history and old trees. Being in 126 Kesar Polaris means we have a decent view, but we’re usually too busy looking at documents to notice. We aren't a big operation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us trying to keep things organized. The elevator ride up can be long during the lunch rush, so we’ve learned to plan our trips downstairs carefully. We deal with a lot of serious topics every day, so we try to keep the atmosphere in the office light when we can. There’s no big reception desk or shiny logos on every wall. It’s just desks, computers, and a lot of filing cabinets. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s quiet enough to hear the city hum below us. We aren't here to impress anyone with fancy words or polished presentations. We’re just here at the Hindu Colony office doing what needs to be done for the foundation. It’s a simple setup for a complicated world, and it suits us fine. We just take it one day at a time here in the office.
