William Arts

William Arts is located in Room B/7 at Prema Chawl. We are in the Borsapad area of Kandivali West. It’s right by the Majura Gate Crossing. If you are familiar with the Poisar Gymkhana, we aren't too far from there. Being in a chawl means it’s a very communal and lively environment. There is always someone walking past the door or children playing nearby. We do all our artistic work in this small room. It’s a bit cramped with all the materials and finished pieces, but we make it work. It’s not a polished gallery, just a workspace where we create things. The noise from the crossing and the gymkhana area filters in throughout the day. We’ve been part of this neighborhood in Kandivali for a long time. People around here know where Prema Chawl is. We don't have any big advertisements or a fancy storefront. It’s just Room B/7. We spend our days working on different projects and sometimes chatting with the neighbors. It’s a simple setup but it suits us. We aren't trying to be anything corporate. We just like making art and being in this part of town. Life at Borsapad is busy but we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep our heads down and focus on what we are making each day. The light in the afternoon is actually quite good for our work here. Sometimes the neighbors bring us some tea while we are busy painting.
