Our office for the Western Region Catholic Foundation For Education is in Colaba. We are located on the fifth floor of the Holy Name School building. It’s on Convent Street, right near Electric House. This is a very old and historic part of Mumbai. The building itself has a lot of character, as you’d expect from a school in Colaba. The pincode is 400001. Being in a school building means we often hear the sounds of students and bells ringing throughout the day. It’s a lively environment. We are way up on the fifth floor, so there are a lot of stairs if the lift is acting up. The office is plain and focused on the work. We have old wooden desks and plenty of cabinets for all the paperwork. It’s not a "modern" office by any stretch. It feels like a place that has been part of the neighborhood for a long time. The view from the windows shows the rooftops of Colaba and the busy streets below. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or promotional posters. It’s just a group of us handling the administrative side of things. Most of the people working here have been around for years. We know the local tea sellers and the shopkeepers on Convent Street. It’s a very settled, traditional way of working. The location near Electric House makes it easy for people to find us.
