This is the Virendra And Rina Jai Foundation, located in Mittal Tower, right on Free Press Journal Marg in Nariman Point. It’s 11-B, if you’re looking for the specific door in the building. Being in Mumbai, it gets quite loud and busy outside with all the cars and people, but we just get on with our work inside. This foundation was started by Virendra and Rina, and we mostly handle various social things that need doing around the city. We aren't a huge corporation with hundreds of employees and fancy meetings. It’s just a small team of us sitting at our desks, making calls and trying to organize help where it’s needed. Sometimes we are working on education for kids, and other times it might be something else entirely, like helping out with local food programs. We don't have a specific script we follow every single day. It just depends on who needs help and what we actually have the resources for at that moment. The office is pretty standard, with plain walls and some filing cabinets. We spend a lot of time on the computer or on the phone. Nariman Point is a central place, so it’s easy for people to reach us if they really have to. We aren't trying to be the biggest foundation out there or win awards. We just want to do some good with what we’ve got. It’s straightforward, honest work that needs doing. We don't use big words.
