Namita Arts - Elementary And Intermediate Drawing Classes

We run our drawing classes out of Daulat Minar CHS on Shahaji Raje Road, right in the heart of Vile Parle East. Namita Arts is not a big institution; it is more of a cozy space where kids and adults come to learn the basics of sketching and painting. We focus on elementary and intermediate levels, so a lot of our students are preparing for their grade exams. The room is always filled with the smell of pencils, oil pastels, and erasers. We have simple wooden tables and chairs where everyone can sit and concentrate on their work. We spend our time talking about how to draw a straight line, how to see shadows, and how to mix colors so they do not look muddy. It is a very hands-on place where you can get your hands dirty with charcoal or paint. We do not use computers or digital tablets; we stick to the old-fashioned way of using paper and pencils. Parents usually drop their kids off after school, and the place gets quite lively for a couple of hours. We try to keep things relaxed because we want people to enjoy the process of creating something. It is a local spot for people in Vile Parle who want to spend an afternoon being creative and learning a new skill. We just take it one drawing at a time and help our students get a little better every week.
