My name is Satish and I run this photography business out of Vijay Nagar. If you look for the ICICI Bank, you’ll find us right nearby. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with camera bags, lenses, and tripod stands that I trip over half the time. I’ve been taking pictures for many years now. It started with family events and then neighbors started asking me to do their weddings or birthday parties. I don't use a lot of fancy lights unless I really have to. I prefer just catching people when they aren't looking at the lens. That’s when you get the real expressions. The shop is usually a mess of cables and memory cards. I spend a lot of time sitting at the computer editing stuff and making sure the colors look right. My wife helps me out with the scheduling because I’m not very good at keeping track of my dates and times. Sometimes the printer acts up and I have to spend an hour fixing a paper jam, which is really frustrating. We do passports, family portraits, and whatever else people need. People around here know where we are located. It’s not a high-end studio with a receptionist or a coffee machine. You just walk in and talk to me directly. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, so I know most of the faces that come through the door. It’s a decent way to make a living and I get to see people.
