Sunil Thakur Photography operates out of the Kinjanagi Building right on Senapati Bapat Marg. Lower Parel is always a rush, so having this spot in 2/54 is good for us. It is a simple setup with our cameras, some lights, and a lot of wires hanging around. I have been taking photos for a long time, mostly weddings and small local events. You will usually see me or the staff checking lenses or backing up files on the old computer. It gets quite crowded in the office when clients come to look at their albums. We do not try to act like those high-end fashion studios you see in magazines. We just want to take decent pictures that people actually like looking at years later. The traffic outside on the main road is constant, and sometimes the noise comes right through the windows while we are trying to edit. We spend a lot of time traveling to different venues, so the office is often just a place to drop off gear and recharge. It’s a bit messy with tripods in the corner and bags piled up, but we know where everything is. We have been in this building for a while now and the neighbors know us. It is just honest work, nothing too complicated. We take the photos, we print them, and we make sure the colors look right. That is pretty much the whole story.
