We are located on August Kranti Marg, which is a busy stretch of road to be on. The studio isn’t huge, but we have enough room for the backdrops and the lighting rigs. If you walk in, you’ll see tripods standing in the corners and several camera bags tucked under the tables. There is always a layer of dust on the equipment that we have to wipe off every single morning before we start. We spend a lot of time adjusting the lights to get rid of shadows that shouldn't be there. Photography is mostly about waiting for the right moment and then spending a lot more time sitting at a computer screen afterward. It’s a bit of a messy space with cables running across the floor, though we try to tape them down so nobody trips. The windows don’t let in much light because we need to control the environment for the shots, so it can feel a bit like a basement even though it isn't. People come in for all sorts of things, and we just try to make them feel okay while they are standing in front of the lens. Sometimes the equipment acts up or a bulb blows out right when you need it, which is frustrating but part of the daily routine. We don't do anything too fancy, just simple shots and making sure the focus is sharp. It is just us and our cameras here on the Marg.
