Vanvadi Forest Eco-Versity Association

Our office for Vanvadi Forest Eco-Versity Association is located in Girgaon, which is a very old and crowded part of the city. We are on the 19th floor of the Gagangiri building, situated on Plot 25/29. The lane is called Dr. Deshmukh Lane, and it’s right in the middle of Khetwadi. Being up so high on the 19th floor gives us a bit of a breeze, which is nice because Girgaon can get quite hot and stuffy. It is a bit funny having a name like ours while being in a concrete high-rise, but that is just how it worked out. The streets below are always full of people and small shops selling everything you can imagine. We spend our days here managing the paperwork and coordinating our various activities. The office is a bit cramped with books and maps, but we make it work. It’s a long way up, so we really hope the elevators are working every morning. Maharashtra urban life is right outside our window, with the constant honking and the smell of local food. We are just a small group of people who enjoy what we do. There isn't any corporate polish here; our desks are a bit messy and we often lose our pens. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay productive amidst the chaos of Khetwadi. It is a real place with real people working hard.
