Vanita Jagganath Art Foundation

We are the Vanita Jagganath Art Foundation, and you can find us in Balewadi, Pune. We are located at Plot No 2, Survey No 35, right near the More College hostel. It’s a lively spot because of all the students living nearby. Our place is quite small, but we’ve filled it with as much as we can. Since we are near the hostel, we see a lot of young people coming and going. We started this because we wanted a place for art to just exist without it being a big commercial thing. We have some old tables and a few cupboards for supplies. It’s not a fancy gallery with white walls and spotlights. It’s more of a workshop where things get a bit messy. Sometimes there’s paint on the floor, and we don't always get around to cleaning it up right away. We spend our days organizing small workshops or just helping people find the right tools for their projects. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don’t have a big staff, usually just one or two of us are around to open the doors. We like the energy of Balewadi. It’s a growing part of Pune, and we are just happy to have a small corner here. We don't do big fancy launches. People just find out about us through word of mouth, and that’s fine with us.
