Vananchal Samruddhi Abhiyan Foundation

Vananchal Samruddhi Abhiyan Foundation is located in Airoli, which is part of Mumbai City. Our address is E/8/01 in the Suprabhat CHS, over in Sector 15. It’s a typical residential area, so it doesn't feel like a cold corporate office at all. We are right in the middle of the neighborhood. We started this because we saw a need for some real work to be done for people living in the more remote areas, even though our main base is here in the city. Our office is small and filled with maps and notes pinned to the walls. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We mostly just talk to people and try to get things moving. Some days we are out of the office more than we are in it. Sector 15 is a busy place, and there’s always something going on outside our windows. We have a small team of regular people who just want to be useful. We don't write big reports that nobody reads. We just try to get things done. Sometimes the internet is slow or we run out of milk for the coffee, but we keep going. It’s honest work and we like being in Airoli. It feels like a real community here. People know our names and what we are trying to do. We don't make a big fuss about it, we just show up every morning and get to work on the next project.
