Trust Art Gallery

We are located on the second floor of the Agra Building in Colaba. If you look out the windows, you can see the Mumbai University building right across the way. M G R Road is always packed with people, tourists, and students heading to class. Being on the second floor is nice because it gets us a little bit away from the street level noise, though the honking still makes its way up here. The building itself is one of those old Mumbai structures with a lot of character and thick walls. We spend our days inside the gallery, surrounded by frames and art pieces. It’s not a huge space, but it’s enough for what we do. We don’t have fancy lighting or anything like that, just the regular stuff that works. Usually, someone is here drinking tea and waiting for someone to drop by. Colaba has a certain feel to it, especially during the monsoon when the rain hits those old stone buildings. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The walk up the stairs is a bit of a workout every morning. Sometimes the university bells ring and it reminds us of the time. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just keeping the gallery open and looking after the items inside. It’s a quiet life in a very loud part of the city. We like the history of the neighborhood and being near the water.
