Threading Lives Foundation is on the second floor of Patwa Chambers, which is at Plot No 104/108. The address is 21, Liladhar Lakhamshi Shah Road in Chinchbunder, Mumbai. Our pin code is 400009. This part of Mumbai, near the docks and old markets, is always very busy. The streets are narrow and there are always trucks and carts moving about. Our office is up a flight of stairs in a building that has seen better days, but it’s got a lot of character. We like being in Chinchbunder. It feels like the heart of the old city. We don't have a big, shiny lobby or a receptionist. Usually, you just walk in and one of us will be there at a desk. We started this foundation because we wanted to help out in a real way. We aren't a corporate entity with a lot of rules. We just do the work as it comes. Sometimes the office gets a bit dusty because of all the construction and traffic outside, but we don't mind. It’s a practical place for practical work. We have a few computers and a lot of files. Most of our time is spent talking to people who come by. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the best. We’re just trying to be here for the people who need us. It’s an honest way to spend the day in a busy city like Mumbai.
