The Taj Stores

If you head down to Bhatti Street, you will find The Taj Stores. It is a busy little area, and our shop fits right in with the rest of the local businesses. We have been on this street for quite some time, and we’ve become a bit of a fixture for the people who live nearby. The shop isn't massive, so we have to use every bit of space we have, stacking things high on the shelves and even using the area behind the counter for extra stock. It can feel a bit crowded when we have more than three customers inside at once, but that is just how it goes on Bhatti Street. We spend our days helping people find what they need and chatting about the local news. There is no corporate manual here; we just treat people the way we would want to be treated. Sometimes the inventory takes longer to arrive than we’d like, and we have to explain that to folks, but they usually understand. The front window gets a bit dusty from the street traffic, so we try to wipe it down every other morning. We don't have a fancy website or a big team of people. It is just a few of us making sure the shelves are stocked and the floors are swept. Working at The Taj Stores is about being part of the community here and keeping the daily routine going without any unnecessary drama or flair.
