Sagar General Store

Sagar General Store has been sitting here in Borivali West 1 for a good amount of time now. Most mornings start early, usually around seven when the milk crates arrive and we have to stack them up before the first group of people heads to the station. It is a small space, really, but we try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves. You will see bags of rice tucked under the counters and rows of biscuits near the front because kids always want them after school. Sometimes the fans don't work right and it gets hot, but we just keep the door open to catch whatever breeze comes through the lane. People come in for a single pack of matches or a whole month of groceries, and it doesn't matter much to us either way. We know most of the faces around here by name or at least by what they usually buy every Tuesday. There is always some dust on the top shelves that needs cleaning, but that is just how things go when you are busy. Borivali is a crowded place, and this little corner is our spot to handle the daily rush. We aren't trying to do anything fancy, just keeping the stock replenished so nobody leaves empty-handed when they need sugar or some soap. It is just a regular shop run by regular people who live nearby and understand what the neighborhood needs.
