The Lucky General Stores

You can find us at Shop No 3 in the Atlanta Arcade. We are located in the Vadgadi area of Andheri East. This is a general store, so we carry a bit of everything that a household might need. The shelves are packed very tight, and sometimes things fall off if you aren't careful. We spend the morning unpacking crates of soap, biscuits, and other small items. It is a bit dark in the back of the shop because the arcade doesn't get much natural light. We have a couple of tube lights that hum all day. The Atlanta Arcade is a busy spot with people always rushing to the other shops or the offices upstairs. We get a lot of people coming in for one specific thing like a lightbulb or a packet of tea. It is a lot of small transactions throughout the day. We don't have a computer system, just a notepad where we write things down. The counter is old wood and it has some scratches from years of use. It gets very hot in the summer because the air doesn't move much inside the arcade. We just sit near the entrance where there is a bit of a breeze. It’s a simple shop and we just try to keep everything in stock.
